Fax Overview
Faxing is an optional feature of your multi-function printer. It can be configured in a
variety of different ways to offer you the most convenient method for faxing an original
document.
Embedded Fax: A document is scanned at the multi-function printer and sent directly
to a fax machine.
Server Fax: A document is scanned at the multi-function printer and sent over an
Ethernet network to a fax server. The fax server then sends the fax to a fax machine.
Internet Fax: A document is scanned at the multi-function printer and emailed to a
recipient.
Faxing from your Computer: Using the settings in the print driver, the current print
job is sent as a fax.
Note
Fax capability must be enabled by the System Administrator before use. For details, see
the System Administrator Guide.
