8 Installing user software on a Windows computer

• If you are using TCP/IP, set up a Domain Name Server (DNS) for the IP address of the

DocuColor in the printcap ﬁle.

If your network does not support DNS servers, edit the HOSTS ﬁle in your

WINDOWS directory and insert an IP address for the DocuColor. (See your system

documentation for information.) Then go to page 11, “To conﬁgure the Chooser list

for TCP/IP networks:” for TCP/IP instructions.

TO CONFIGURE THE CHOOSER LIST FOR IPX/SPX NETWORKS:

1. Start any of the utilities (Downloader or Spooler).

2. When the following dialog box appears, click OK.
