Create a directory on the HTTPS server to use as a scan filing location. Note the directory path.
Note any script that is required to be run.
Provide details about your server:
a. Select the address type. Options include IPv4, IPv6, or Host Name.
b. Type the appropriately formatted address and port number of your server.
c. To verify that a digital certificate is installed on the printer, for HTTPS, click View Trusted SSL
Certificates.
d. In the Script path and filename field, type the path to the CGI script starting at the root. For
example, //directoryname/foldername.
e. To download working example scripts, click Get Example Scripts.
1. Next to Document Path, type the directory path of the folder. For FTP or SFTP services, begin at the
root. For example, //directoryname/foldername.
2. If you want the printer to create .XSM subfolders for single page format files, select Sub-folder
(.XSM) for 1 File Per Page, File Format jobs.
3. Next to Filing Policy, select how the printer handles a file name conflict.
4. Under Login Credentials to Access the Destination, select the method that the printer uses to
access the repository.
Authenticated User and Domain instructs the printer to use the user name and domain of the
logged-in user when accessing the repository.
Logged-in User instructs the printer to log in to the repository using the credentials of the
logged-in user.
Prompt at User Interface instructs the printer to prompt users at the control panel for the
repository credentials.
Stored in Template instructs the printer to use specific credentials when accessing the
repository. If you select Stored in Template, in the User Name and Password fields, type the
credentials. To update an existing password, click Select.
5. To save a job log file with the scanned files, under Report Options, under Save Job Log (.XST) in
Repository, select Enable.
6. Click Add.
Enter a Server Fax Number allows you to define a fax phone number destination. You must
set up a fax repository first. For details, see Fax Repository Setup on page 201.
7. Add or modify fax numbers.
To add a fax number, type a fax number in the Add Fax Number field and click Add.
To delete a fax number, select the number in the list and click Delete.
To edit a fax number, select the number in the list, type the changed number in the Edit Fax
Number field, and click Replace.
8. Select additional options as needed.
To delay sending the fax, select the Delayed Send check box, then adjust the delay time.
To save a copy of the job log in the scan repository, under Report Options, under Save Job Log
(.XST) in Repository, select Enable.
9. Click Add.
Note: Server Fax is an option for some printers. For details, contact your Xerox representative.
