Auger Belt Replacement
To removeandreplaceyoursnowthrower'saugerbelt,
proceedas follows:
1. Removethe plasticbelt coveronthe frontof the
engineby removingthe twoself-tappingscrews.
NOTE:Drainthe gasolinefromthe snowthrower,or
placea pieceof plasticunderthegascap.
2. Carefullypivotthe snowthrowerup andforwardso
thatit restson the augerhousing.Removethe frame
coverfromthe undersideof the snowthrowerby
removingfour self-tappingscrewswhichsecureit.
3. Rollthe augerbeltoff the enginepulley.
4. a. Loosenand removethe shoulderscrewwhich
actsas a belt keeper.
b. Unhookthesupportbracketspringfromthe
frame.
5. Removethe beltfromaroundtheaugerpulley,and
slipthe beltbetweenthe supportbracketandthe
augerpulley.Reassembleaugerbelt by following
instructionsin reverseorder.
NOTE: Do NOTforgetto reinstalltheshoulderscrew
andreconnectthe springto the frameafterinstalling
a replacementaugerbeltandto removethe pieceof
plasticfromunderthe gascap.

Maintaining
Your Snow
Thrower
NOTE:Although
multi-viscosityoils
(5W30, 10W30etc.)
improvestarting in cold
weather, thesemulti-
viscosity oils also result
in higher oil consump-
tion when usedabove
32°F (0°C). Checkyour
snow thrower's engine
oil level morefrequently
to avoid possible
engine damagefrom
running low on oil.
NOTE: Donot sand-
blast spark plug. Spark
plug should be cleaned
byscraping or w=re
brushing and washing
with a commercial
solvent.
IMPORTANT
NEVER replacethe
_ugershear pins with
standard pins. Any
damage to theauger
gearbox or other com-
3onents,as a result of
doing so,will NOT be
coveredby yoursnow
thrower's warranty.
