Troubleshooting
Possible Problem Possible Cause Solutions
The hood speakers will
not pair with the user’s
device.
The speaker’s Bluetooth® is not
actively pairing with any devices.
Press the Bluetooth® button to signal the
pairing process.
The speaker’s Bluetooth® has stopped
pairing with devices, signaled by a
sound indication.
Hold the Bluetooth® button for a few seconds
to turn o the device. Restart the pairing
process by pressing the Bluetooth® button.
There are competing devices
attempting to pair with the speakers.
Only one device can connect to Zephyr
Bluetooth at a time. On non-active devices,
either turn o Bluetooth® or disconnect from
Zephyr Bluetooth.
The speaker’s Bluetooth® is already
paired to another device.
Disconnect Zephyr Bluetooth on the device
or by pressing the Bluetooth® button on the
hood.
The user’s device will
not pair with the hood
speakers.
The user’s device does not have
Bluetooth® enabled.
Enable Bluetooth® on the user’s device.
The user’s device may be out of range. Make sure your device is within 30 feet of the
hood and not obstructed.
The user’s device is already paired to
another device.
Disconnect the other Bluetooth® device from
the user’s device.
There are multiple errors preventing
the user’s device from pairing with the
speaker’s Bluetooth®.
Restart the user’s device.
The user’s device is
paired with the hood
speakers, but will not
connect to the speakers.
There is an error during the pairing
process.
Forget (remove) the speaker’s Bluetooth®
from the user’s device and retry the pairing
process.
The user’s device may be out of range. Make sure your device is within 30 feet of the
hood and not obstructed.
There are multiple errors preventing
the user’s device from pairing the
speaker’s Bluetooth®.
Restart the user’s device.
The hood speakers and
the user’s device are
paired and connected,
but there is no audio.
The volume is too low. Increase the volume from either the speakers
or the user’s device.
The audio is muted. Unmute the volume and increase it to a
moderate level.
The sound on the user’s device is not
set as the default playback device.
Set Zephyr Bluetooth as the default playback
device.
The maximum volume
played from the speakers
is too low.
If your device is using a version of
Bluetooth® older than version 4.1, the
volume may not synchronize correctly
with the hood.
Try to increase the volume by pressing the
Volume Up button on the hood.
I cannot hear my phone
calls through the hood
speakers
The hood is not compatible as a
hands-free device because there is no
microphone in the hood, it will only
play audio.
Continue to use your phone for calls.
