Master Reset
A master reset restores a SoundBase to
the
fac t ory def ault behavior. It erases any
" learned" remote contr ol response. It sets
the SUR R OU ND mode to Surround "2"
sets
OUTPUT LEVEU NG and DI ALOG ,
EMPHAS IS to OFF and se ts BASS and
TREBLE to no boost or cut in bass or tr eb le
output. It
se ts the INPUT to Opti cal Input 1 .
To perform the Master Reset , first put the
SoundBase in Standby mode
by pressing
the POWER button on the SoundBase
remote control. When you see "OFF" on the
SoundBase di
splay , the un it is in Standby.
You can also put a SoundBase in Standby
by
pressing down on the front pane l MUTE
button for about 5-7 seconds.
Once the
Sound Base is in Standby, locate the
I
NPUT bu tt on on the face of the SoundBase.
(You cannot use the I NPUT button on the
remote to p erform a Master Rese t.)
Press and ho ld down t he front pane l IN PUT
button for about 15 to 20 seconds. When you
see the three letters " r S t " appear on the
displ
ay (see figure below) , release t he I NP UT
button. The SoundBase wi ll then show the
four-digit
fi rmware code number and t urn "O N".
The
RESET is complete.
