CHAPTER 17
HTTP Redirect
17.1 Overview
HTTP redirect forwards the client’s HTTP request (except HTTP traffic destined for the
ZyWALL) to a web proxy server. In the following example, proxy server A is connected to the
dmz interface. When a client connected to the lan1 zone wants to open a web page, its HTTP
request is redirected to proxy server A first. If proxy server A cannot find the web page in its
cache, a policy route allows it to access the Internet to get them from a server. Proxy server A
then forwards the response to the client.
