The lightning detector identifies storm activity within a 25-mile range(40 km) of your location, with an RF 915 MHz wireless range of 330 feet line of sight (100 feet under most conditions). This personal lightning detector operates by detecting the electromagnetic pulse (EMP) emitted by a lightning strike. By measuring the strength of the detected EMP, the device can then estimate the distance from the detected strike. The sensor has three settings to adjust the sensitivity for possible interference. Add to your product and WS-5000 weather stations. The sensor transmits this information once per 79 seconds to the display console of your choice or our cloud service AmbientWeather.net. The information can then be accessed through the console, online dashboard, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, IFTTT, and much more. You can also send email, text, or IFTTT alerts.
