The latest iteration — the AVR-X8500HA — features an upgraded HDMI board, plus support for the latest video and surround sound technology. Use the AVR-X8500HA as part of a high-performance home theater system. At its core the AVR-X8500HA is an audiophile-grade 13-channel amplifier. Use all 13 channels in an expansive 7.2.6 or 9.2.4 Dolby Atmos or DTS:X™ home theater. Or, go with a more conventional surround sound setup, and repurpose the extra channels for sound in up to two additional zones. Rated at a beefy 150 watts per channel (with two channels driven), the AVR-X8500HA can drive stand-mount, floor-standing, or custom-integrated speakers with authority.
