LITTON LANE Antique Style Metal Cooking Pot with Handles and Lid, 15” x 10”

This pot was crafted after an artisanal, 100-year-old hand-made, round, metal cooking pot with a lid and latch was used during outdoor market trips to collect grains and spices, then brought back to the village and used for cooking and steaming food. The latch was unique to these particular round pots as artisans refined their craftsmanship by using lightweight metals versus wood and adding small technological additions, like latches. Many of these newer metal pots were engraved with initials and numbers, as well.
