Telefunken Copperhead Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Tube Microphone

The Telefunken TF29 cardioid tube condenser microphone offers a balanced, natural tone with warm midrange frequencies, a rich low-end, and additional highs for presence and clarity. This workhorse mic is well suited for recording vocals, electric and acoustic guitar, brass, and other instruments and is also very effective as a room or overhead mic for drums. Part of Telefunken's Alchemy Series of large-diaphragm tube condenser mics, the TF29 mic's all-brass k67-style capsule, new old-stock American-made 5654W vacuum tube, and Swedish-made Lundahl output transformer give the mic it's distinctive, bold, and full "copperhead" sound. That signature sound features an approximate +4 dB boost in the 20 to 100 Hz range for added bottom while the high end is boosted by about 2 dB at around 13 kHz and 4.5 dB at approximately 18 kHz.
