This DC-Coupled backup power kit is designed to add battery backup onto an existing grid-tied system with a string inverter installed. The included Morningstar 600V TriStar controller has an integrated transfer switch that allows you to switch between selling power and charging batteries. This kit can be used to add battery backup to most popular string inverters with a 600-volt input, including various models from SMA, Fronius and other manufacturers.
