17.7.2 Configuring General Download Settings
Click Applica t ions > Dow nload Service > Prefe rence s t o open t he following screen. Use t his
screen t o set the default location for saving downloads and configure t he download period.
Locat ion of
Downloaded Files
This shows where the NAS st ores new downloads (Put in com ple te dow n loads in) and
where the NAS m oves com pleted downloads ( Move com plet ed dow nloads t o) .
The Shar e colum n shows t he nam e of t he share where t he file is downloaded.
The Pa th colum n points t o t he locat ion in the share wher e t he NAS will save t he
downloaded files.
P2P down load j obs ar e st ored in / * / incom ing ( w her e * is a folder t hat you have set . )
HTTP/ FTP j obs are st ored in / * ( where * is a folder t hat you have set.)
All jobs t riggered by RSS channels create t he subfolder in / * using t he channel nam e
where it store all files downloaded from that channel ( where * is a folder t hat you
have set .)

Shar e - Select the share from t he list.
Pa th - Type the folder locat ion in the share direct ly or click Brow se t o open the
following screen and navigat e to the file’s locat ion.
Curr ent Locat ion - This is the locat ion of the select ed folder.
Folder N am e - Enter a new folder nam e and click t o creat e it.
Type - This ident ifies the it em as a folder or file.
N am e - This is the nam e of t he folder/ file.
Select a folder. I f you dont select a folder, a forward slash ( / ) displays in t he Pat h field.
All cont ents wit hin t he specified share are aut omat ically select ed.
Click Apply to sav e your sett ings and Can ce l t o close t he screen.
Apply Click t his t o save your changes.
Cancel Click this to return to the previous screen without saving.
