Effects of Acute Overexposure:
Eyes-Causes Burns
Skin-Causes Burns
Breathing-Mist can cause damage to nasal and
respiratory passages.
Swallowing-Can result in damage to throat and
esophagus.
First Aid: If on skin-flush exposed area with
water for at least 15 mins. Get medical attention.
Remove contaminated clothing and launder.
If in eyes- Immediately flush with large amounts
of water for at least 15 mins. Lifting upper and
lower lids.
Get immediate medical attention. If physician is
not immediately available, continue flushing with
water. Do not use chemical antidote.
If swallowed-Do not induce vomiting. Vomiting
will cause further damage to the throat. Dilute by
drinking water. Keep warm, quiet, and get
medical attention.
If breathed - Remove individual to fresh air.

Small Spills-Mop up and wash area with water.
Large Spills-Dike to prevent spread. Pump to

Small Spill-Pour down drain with large amounts
of water.
Large Spill-Add large amounts of water to
salvage tank and drain.
7. Protective Equipment:
Respiratory Protection-Approved air supply
respirator is advised in absence of proper
ventilation control.
Ventilation-Not required under normal conditions
of use.
Protective Gloves-Wear resistant gloves
Eye Protection-Chemical splash goggles.
Other Protective Equipment-Resistant clothing
