INTERNAL

ABAQUS/CAE uses the INTERNAL param eter to identify sets that are created internally. The

INTERNAL param eter is used only in models deﬁned in term s of an assem bly of part instances.

The default is to omit the INTERNAL parameter.

UNSORTED

If this parameter is i ncluded, the nodes in this node set will be assigned to the set (or added to the

set if it already exists) in the order in which they are given. This param eter will be ignored if the

ELSET parameter is used.

If this parameter is omitted, the nodes in the s et are sorted into ascending order of their node

numbers, with duplicates elim inated.

Data lines if the GENERATE parameter is om itted:

First line:

1. List of nodes or node se t labels to be assigned to this node set. Only previously deﬁned node

sets can be assigned to another node set.

Repeat this data line as often as necessary. Up to 16 entr ies are allowed per line.

Data lines if the G ENERATE parameter is included:

First line:

1. First node in the set.

2. Last node in the set.

3. Increm ent in node numbers between nodes in the set. The default is 1.

Repeat this data line as often as necessary.

There are no data lines when the ELSET parameter is speciﬁed.
