SLOAD: A pply loads to a substructure.
This option is used to activate a substructure load case defined by the

Optional parameters:
AMPLITUDE
Set this parameter equal to the nam e given to an amplitude defined by the

AMPLITUDE
option (“Amplitude curves,” Section 27.1.2 of the ABAQ US Analysis User’s Manual). This
amplitude defines the time variat ion of the load case (

magnitude throughout the step. If this pa rameter is omitted, the default amplitu de is that defined in
“Procedures: overview,” Section 6.1.1 of the ABAQUS Analysis User’s Manual, for the particular
procedure used in the step.

Set OP=MOD (default) t o modify or add to the curren tly active

SLOADs.
Set OP=NEW if all existing

SLOADs applied to the model should be removed and new ones
possibly defined.
Data lines to define the loading:
First line:
1. Element num ber or element set name. The elements must be substructures.
2. Load case name (as defined on the associated
*
SUBSTRUCTURE LOAD CASE option).
3. Load magnitude. This magnitude is a multiplier for the l oad case magnitude defined under
the
*
SUBSTRUCTURE LOAD CASE option. It can be adjusted throughout the step by the
amplitude specification in the usual way.
Repeat this data line as often as necessar y to define the loadings on the substructures.
