Connect the Serial Port
To connect the serial port, perform the following:
1 Terminate the reader umbilical cable using a suitable cable gland or
equivalent method.
2 Identify the serial interface wires and terminate these five wires on the
READER/POWER
connector.
3 Use care when performing the termination to avoid Pin 3 (
RFU
) on this
connector.
Disconnecting WIM
from Serial Port
In the event you
disconnect the WIM
module from the
serial port, you need
to restart the console
service for the reader
command line
interface (cli).
