Benefits/Advantages To Customer
Open time: Adhesive can be applied to the molding with enough time to
position the parts on doors or furniture cases before it sets.
Can help eliminate need for mechanical fasteners: Reaches handling strength
quickly so that parts do not have to be nailed, thus eliminating the need for
nailing, putty and sanding.
Strong: The product cures to a strength greater than what is achieved with most
typical wood glues and nails.
Can help reduce production costs: The amount of time required for finishing
this application is greatly reduced because of the elimination of the nailing
process, which can require putty and sanding steps in the manufacturing
process.
Ultraviolet light indicator: When viewed under most ultraviolet (UV) lighting,
these adhesives have a purple tint, so it’s easy to detect residue in the bondline
that should be removed prior to finishing.
Clean-up: Adhesive dries to a waxy state prior to cure and can easily be skived
off with a chisel.
