Process
Belt is cleaned with 3M
Citrus Base Cleaner or 3M
Citrus Base Adhesive Remover and allowed to dry. 12" or 22" 3M
TM
Performance Plus Duct Tape 8979 is applied the length of the tear and pressed down firmly into the texture. 3M
Adhesion
Promoter 86A is applied over the leading edge of the tape and ahead of the tape line, and allowed to dry. A 4" wide strip of
3M
Polyurethane Protective Tape 8641 is applied over the leading edge of the 8979 tape and onto the belt in front of the
leading edge. This tape is also pressed down firmly to the textured belt surface. Wait five minutes and resume operation.
