Save Button
If you would like to save your preview (or scout) image, tap the save button and a copy of it will
be saved on the active data drive.
You may find all saved scans through the Locate a Scan component.
Stage Position Control
You may turn the stage from outside of the cabinet using the Stage Position
Control on the screen. You may want use this control in combination with the
preview image feature to ensure accurate sample placement.
The Stage Position Control contains an inner dial and an outer dial. The outer dial
indicates the current position of the stage. If you would like to change the position
of the stage, drag the inner dial either way. The outer dial (and stage) will turn to
line up with the inner dial when your finger is released from the screen.

Scan Button
After entering the scan settings and, if necessary, reviewing the preview (or scout) image, tap the
Scan button to start the full imaging scan, system calibration or validation.
Note: You cannot start a full imaging scan, system calibration or validation unless the Scan button
is activated (that is, unless the text on the button is white). If the scan button is not activated,
make sure your scan name and settings are completely and accurately indicated.
When the Scan button is tapped, the X-rays turn on, the scan begins, and the Begin a New Scan
screen appears.
Scout Penetration
The scout penetration shows the minimum and maximum amount of X-rays that are able to
penetrate the object during the preview (or scout) image. These amounts vary with the density of
the object being scanned.
