7. TO CHARGE THE PRODUCT

7.1. BATTERY NOTE

• Do not mix old and new batteries.

• Do not mix alkaline, standard, or rechargeable batteries.

• To properly dispose of the AA/AAA batteries, follow local

solid waste disposal regulations.

7.2. CHARGING

Note: The charging case prevents charging in temperatures

above 113°F/45°C or below 32°F/0°C.

The 3M™ PELTOR™ TEP-300 Earplugs should be charged

before rst use. The product will indicate low battery status

with an audio message “low battery”, when less than one hour

of battery life remains. The audio message will repeat every

ve minutes.

The TEP-300 earpieces are charged inside the charging case

using 3 AA or AAA (using the AAA battery adaptor) batteries or

using a USB-C cord (not provided).

7.3. CHARGING USING AA OR AAA BATTERIES

1. Lift the latch to open the lid of the charging case.

2. Open battery lid of the battery compartment of the charging

case.

3. Insert 3 AA batteries. Make sure the (+)(-) poles are aligned

according to the diagram on the charging case.

4. Close the battery lid of the battery compartment.

5. Align the charging contacts on the earpiece and charging

receptable inside the case.

6. Insert the narrow end of the earpiece rst.

7. Gently press and snap the earpiece into the receptable.

Note: The earpiece will start to charge automatically.

8. Repeat for the second earpiece.

9. Press the test/status button on the charging case to view the

charging status.

Fast Blinking Red Temperature Fault

Solid Yellow Charging – low battery

Blinking Yellow Not charging – low battery

Solid Green Charging Complete

Note: Charging time is approximately 90 minutes.

10. To remove the earpiece from the charging unit, gently lift up

on the earpiece while holding on to the charging case.

7.3.1. TO USE THE AAA BATTERY ADAPTER

1. Fold the AAA battery adapter according to the illustration.
