Take care to prevent snagging the facepiece, which may pull the facepiece away from the face.

! WARNING

To reduce the risks associated with fire and exposure to contaminants, which, if not avoided,

could result in serious injury or death:

Do not charge batteries not approved for use with the 3M battery charger unit.

! WARNING

To reduce the risks associated with fire and exposure to battery chemicals, which, if not avoided,

could result in serious injury or death:

Do not expose the battery, battery charger, or power adapter to water or moisture.

! WARNING

To reduce the risks associated with hazardous voltage, which, if not avoided, could result in

serious injury or death:

• Use only a 3M-approved power supply with the charger.

• Do not mount the battery charger where it will be exposed to moisture such as rain or

hose spray.

• When securing the power cord, ensure the power cord is protected from edges and

corners to prevent damage to the cord over time.

• Regularly inspect the battery charger and its power cord for loose, worn, or damaged

components. If any damage is found, remove the unit from service and tag for repair by

authorized personnel.

! WARNING

To reduce the risks associated with hazardous voltage and tripping and falling, which, if not

avoided, could result in serious injury or death:

When mounting the bracket assembly for the battery charger, secure the full length of the power

cord so no one will trip on it.

! WARNING

To reduce the risks associated with exposure to contaminants, which, if not avoided, could result

in serious injury or death:

The contaminant must be identified, and effectively removed or contaminated components

must be removed and disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations.

! WARNING

To reduce the risks associated with fire, explosion, exposure to contaminants, and oxygen-

deficient atmospheres, which, if not avoided, may result in serious injury or death:

• Do not alter or repair the facepiece beyond the scope of these instructions.

• Use only 3M-approved parts.
