*Assigned protection factors may vary for specific standards as promulgated by OSHA (e.g. continuous flow supplied air respirators are assigned a
protection factor of 100 in the OSHA Asbestos Standards, 29 CFR 1910.1001 and 29 CFR 1926.1101). Where assigned protection factors in local, state, or
federal standards are lower than those listed here, they should be used instead. For additional limitations of 3M respiratory protection products, refer to 3M
respirator packaging and use instructions and limitations.
**3M recommended assigned protection factors are based on workplace and laboratory performance tests of our respirators and review of current assigned
protection factor recommendations established by other groups where assigned protection factors have not been established by regulatory agencies.
