A test protocol similar to the peel tests in MIL-PRF-81733D was used to investigate possible adverse
effects of SR Radial Bristle Discs on sealant adhesion after disc use. Samples were coated with
sealant, which was then removed with SR Radial Bristle Discs, followed by isopropyl alcohol wipe.
Sealant was then reapplied to the surfaces and peel tests conducted. Samples showed no adhesive
failures at sealant/coating interface; all showed cohesive failure within sealant.
