The store and forward process
Store and Forward operations require intervention by library staff. The steps
include the following:

When the circulation system becomes
unavailable, library staff places the
SelfCheck system in Offline mode to
store transactions.

When the circulation system becomes
available again, before any other
transactions are run on the circulation
system, library staff place the SelfCheck
system in Out of Service mode and
initiate forwarding.

When forwarding is complete, the staff
place the SelfCheck system in Normal
mode to resume normal operations.

If some items were not forwarded, staff
enter them manually in the circulation
system

Settings
Max offline checkout allowed
The maximum number of items that can be checked
out in a single session while the SelfCheck is offline
.
Days until due
The numbers of days until items are due back when
they are checked out while the SelfCheck is offline
.
Ignore Offline
Enables the SelfCheck to forward stored items to an
ILS that
doesn’t support the forwarding feature. The
SelfCheck does this by forwarding stored
transactions as though they were standard (non-
store and forward).
Queue
Click the
Start Forwarding
link to forward
transactions to the ILS. This feature is available only
when the SelfCheck system is in Out of Service
mode.
