4.1 Live Video Preview Mode 
Pictured below is the Video Preview Window. From the right hand side of the Video Preview 
window the selected camera’s PTZ controls can be accessed as well as some of the camera’s 
basic CCD settings. 
  On-Screen Menu/PTZ   
Menu On 
Opens the in-camera settings menu if available. 
Up/Right/Down/Left/Set 
 These buttons function for both navigating the in-
camera menu as well as being the directional 
controls for cameras supporting PTZ. 
Note: Set serves as the Enter function for the 
in-camera menu only. 
Zoom In/Zoom Out 
Operates the cameras zooming capability. 
Focus Near/Focus Far 
Adjusts the camera’s focus settings based on 
distance to objects. 
Iris Close/Iris Open 
Open or close the camera’s iris.  
Auto Focus 
Use the camera’s auto-focus capability. 
Lens Reset 
Reset Lens settings to defaults(determined by 
camera.) 
CCD Settings 
Opens CCD Settings window. Please see Section 
4.2 for more details on CCD Settings. 
Channel Select 
Select camera channel 
Note: Only available while preview playback is 
stopped. 
Sub Stream Select 
Choose to view camera Sub Stream to decrease 
bandwidth usage. 
Note: Only available while preview playback is 
stopped. 
Play/Stop 
Begins or stops live preview playback.
