Appendix B. Port-based Service Zone
Deployment Example
In Port-Based mode, each LAN port can only serve traffic from one Service Zone. An example of network
application diagram is shown as below: one Service Zone for Staff and one for Guests.
The switches deployed under MSG100 in Port-Based mode must be Layer 2 switches only.
Configuration Steps for Port-Based Service Zones:
Step 1: Configure Service Zone 1 for Guests
Assume that LAN1 is assigned to the Service Zone 1 (SZ1) for Guests. Click the System menu and select the
Service Zones tab. Click Configure of SZ1.
