Charger
Proper charging procedure
1. Connect the alligator clips to a power source with an output of 10-15V DC.
2. Connect the Deans
TM
Ultra Plug
TM
on the battery pack into the output connector on the charger.
3. Plug the balancing connector into the appropriate input on the charger.
4. LEDs on the charger indicate the status of the charging process.
On Charger is connected to a power supply, ready for charging.
Charging Battery is connected to the charger and in the process of charging.
Blinking Charge Light - Charger is balancing cells for optimal performance.
Charged Battery is fully charged and ready for use.
Error A problem occurred during charge. (see trouble shooting)
5. When the battery pack is fully charged disconnect output cable and balancing wire.
Trouble Shooting
1. No Power LED
Check to make sure the power source is properly connected to the charger with the alligator clips.
Check to make sure the power source being used is within the 10-15V working range as specified.
Check to ensure that the input fuse has not blown.
2. No Charging Light
Check to see if power light is illuminated, if not see above.
Check to make sure battery is connected to the output cable of the charger.
Check to make sure the battery balancing cable is plugged into the appropriate charger input.
Check to make sure the battery is not damaged.
If light takes longer than usual to turn on then cells are balancing and will begin to charge soon.
3. Error Light
Error warning when: balance wire is disconnected,balance wire is improperly connected, input
voltage is out of range, short circuit occurs, internal temperature exceeds safe operating
range, or output fuse has blown.
For optimum performance batteries should be charged at room temperature.
For optimum long term storage of packs, charge or discharge pack to about 50% state of charge; store
in a cool, dry location.
