Configuring presence
You can to control your current presence status (see Chapter "Organizing absences
using the presence key", page 42).
You have a choice of 5 presence profiles for controlling your presence status. For each
of these presence profiles you can make the following settings:
• Description: Type in the text you want to be visible to other users as detailed infor-
mation on your presence status (e.g. the name of your substitute).
• Date/time: choose whether the absence information should be given without
date/time or with date/time.
• Personal call routing: Specify the phones on which a call is to be signalled (see
Chapter "Activating personal call routing", page 62).
– Keep settings as is: Calls are routed according to your settings.
– Call routing-ID <1...5>: your personal call routing number.
• Call forwarding: Specify where you want a call to be forwarded to (see Chapter
"Forwarding calls (Call forwarding)", page 44).
– Keep settings as is: Calls are routed according to your settings.
– No forwarding: any configured call forwarding operation is deleted.
– User: a call is channelled to the defined forwarding destination.
– Voicemail: a call is forwarded to voicemail. The greeting to be played back can be
configured with Voice mail greeting.
• Voice Mail greeting
– Keep settings as is: your currently defined greeting is used.
– Absence information: your caller is given an absence information (as well as date
and time, if this has been configured as such in the presence profile).
– Standard greeting: the global greeting is played back to your caller.
– Personal greeting (if your personal greeting has been renamed, this name is dis-
played in the options): one of the personal greetings is played back to your
caller.
To open the presence menu:
Press the presence key.

Press the function key for <Presence menu> (for storing under a function key
see Chapter "Store a function under a key – function key", page 91).

The presence menu can also be selected using the menu: Menu > Settings >
General > Presence.
