Log files are routinely deleted from the server to free up disk space. If a specific log entry can not be found, it is either
because the log level specified in Platform :: System Logs :: BluStar Log Configuration is too high (see section BluStar
Log Configuration on page 8- 4), or too much time has passed and the entry was deleted by the server. In this case, older
logs may be retrieved from the server designated in Services :: Off-Server Backup.
Some logs are web accessible versions of standard Linux operating system logs, and are therefore not necessarily subject
to “log level” restrictions and color coding of messages. These are:
General Logs :: Platform Messages
General Logs :: Platform Security
General Logs :: External BluStar Devices
Web Server Access Log
Cron Log
Boot Log
Color coding
Color coding of events enables an administrator to differentiate between the type of information on each line of a log, as
well as the severity of any errors. The following three color coding groups are defined:

Note:
Three logs—Platform Messages, Platform Security, and External BluStar Devices—are only accessible via General Logs.
