Auditing
The Auditing page allows you to view and Edit the Application Server's auditing settings, which provide options for log-
ging IPC (Inter Process Communications) transactions as well as recording changes made to the Application Server con-
figuration.
BluStar Audit Configuration
This subsection allows you to specify what type of IPC (Inter Process Communications) transactions you want logged to
the Audit log, if any. Place a check in the box next to the type(s) of transactions to log. IPC transactions are defined below:
Failed Set Transactions
Transactions that attempted, but failed, to change the data and behavior of the server.
Failed Get Transactions
Transactions that attempted, but failed, to read data from the server.
Successful Set transactions
Transactions that successfully changed the data and behavior of the server.
Successful Get Transactions
Transactions that successfully read data from the server.
These transactions can either be logged to the servers database (the option DATABASE), or to the Linux system log (the
option SYSLOG). The audit log may also be cleared from the main page of Platform :: Audit Configuration.
Note:
The audit log increases in size rapidly. This process accelerates with the number of WebUI users. It should therefore not
be enabled unnecessarily.
