3 Installing the Tropos 3210 Wi-Fi Cell
This chapter describes how to install the Tropos 3210 Wi-Fi cell, and includes the following
information:
 Wall Mounting Instructions
 Connecting Power and LAN
Caution
Tropos 3210 Wi-Fi cell dipole antennas should be located at a minimum distance of 7.9
inches (20cm) or more from people. This is the safe distance specified by the FCC for
RF exposure limits.
Wall Mounting Instructions
The Tropos 3210 Wi-Fi cell can be wall-mounted in the following three ways:
 Edge mounted, as shown in the figure on page 12
 Flat mounted, as shown in the figure on page 13
 Secure mounted, as shown in the figure on page 14
