Wiring Requirements
Refertothe“WiringRequirements”SectionintheACS550-U1User’sManual.The
requirementsapplytoallACS550drives.Inparticular:
• Useseparate,metalconduitrunsforthefollowingdifferentclassesofwiring:
– Inputpowerwiring.
– Motorwiring.
– Control/communicationswiring.
• Properlyandindividuallygroundthedrive,themotorandcableshields.

forStandardACS550DrivewithInputDisconnectcongurations.
WARNING! Check the motor and motor wiring insulation before connecting the
ACS550 to line power. Follow the procedure in the ACS550-U1 User’s Manual.
Before proceeding with the insulation resistance measurements, check that
the ACS550 is disconnected from incoming line power. Failure to disconnect
line power could result in death or serious injury.
