Setting up ABBYY FineReader PDF 16 on all machines in the domain
simultaneously
1. Download the FineReader16.admx and FineReader16.adml files.
2. Place the FineReader.admx file into the %systemroot%
\sysvol\domain*\policies\PolicyDefinitions folder, and the FineReader16.adml file into
the %systemroot%\sysvol\domain*\policies\PolicyDefinitions\en-us folder.

3. Open the Run dialog box (Win + R) and execute gpmc.msc.
This will open the Group Policy Management console.
4. Create a new group policy object. To do this, open the shortcut menu for the Group Policy
objects node and select New.
5. Enter a name for your group policy and click OK.
6. Expand the Group Policy objects node.
7. Open the shortcut menu for the group policy object created in step 4 and select Edit. This
will open the Group Policy Management Editor window.
