· An additional 31 MB is required to install the ABBYY Scanning plugin for the
Web Scanning Station and the Web Capture Station.
Browser
· Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
Browser security settings: Internet Explorer medium-high protection level.
Detailed required settings for Internet Explorer:
1. Run Active X controls and plugins = Enable
2. Script Active X controls marked safe for scripting = Enable
3. Active scripting = Enable
4. File Download = Enable (to install Silverlight)
Note: To ensure that Internet Explorer 11 works correctly, install .NET
Framework 4.5 on the computer with the Application Server or add the address of
an application server to the list of websites that are opened in compatibility mode.
Note: The Metro-style version of Internet Explorer 10 that comes with Windows
8 is not supported.
Note: Internet Explorer 64-bit is only supported under Windows 7/2008+ if
Silverlight 5 is installed.
· Mozilla Firefox 50 or later (32-bit)
Security settings for Mozilla Firefox:
1. J ava scripting = Enable
2. Firefox will remember history ( Options → Privacy )
· Google Chrome 40 or later (32-bit)
Note: Google Chrome 45 or later does not support Silverlight.
Security settings for Google Chrome:
1. J avaScript = Allow all sites
2. plugins = Run automatically
Note: All plugins are disabled by default. To enable a plugin, open
chrome://plugins/ in the browser and select the Always allowed option for the
desired plugin.

2. Silverlight 5.1.20 9 13 or later
Note: Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 only supports Silverlight when running
under Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.
