The 8 0 2 .1 1 g W ir e less M iniPCI Ca r d is a device t hat let s you connect your notebook to a wireless
local area network ( LAN) . A wireless LAN is like a regular LAN, except t hat you can share inform at ion
without looking for a place to plug in, and augm ent networks w it hout installing or m oving wires.
Based on radio frequency ( RF) t echnology, a wireless LAN t ransm it s and receives dat a over t he air,
along wit h t he guarant ee t o provide privacy and nonint erference by the use of separat e radio
frequency.
The 8 0 2 .1 1 g W ireless M in iPCI Ca r d allows you t o t ake full advantage of your PC’s m obility wit h
access to real-t im e inform at ion and online services anyt im e and any where. Plus, wit h the network
installation sim plicit y and flexibility, you can elim inat e the need t o pull cable t hrough walls and ceilings
and allow the network to go where wires cannot go. Exploring WWW and augm ent ing networks can
