Infrared Light Beams
The Proline infrared Light beams
from ABUS Security-Center offer
completely new possibilities for
monitoring the external and
internal areas Up to 120 meters
outdoors and 240 meters indoors
(LS2120) can be monitored. The
light beam is very easy to install:
The transmitter and receiver are
aligned by a laser (class 3a, wave-
length 650 nm, output < 5 mW),
which is integrated in the housing
of the transmitter even when the
components are at their maximum
distance from each other. It can be
installed practically anywhere be-
cause the transmitter and receiver
can be adjusted vertically and ho-
rizontally. With the Proline light
beam, a second pulsed infrared
beam provides additional protec-
tion against false alarms. The alarm
is only triggered if both beams are
interrupted simultaneously. The
pass-through time (sensitivity) of
the light beam can be adjusted via
a potentiometer.

The light beam in detail
The transmitter and receiver of the Proline light beam can be ad-
justed horizontally and vertically. This allows the Light beams to be in-
stalled practically anywhere. Whether on a wall, a pole or directly on
the garden fence: the possibilities are almost unlimited. Aligning the
transmitter and receiver is also very easy: via a laser that is integrated
in the housing of the transmitter, the components can be aligned to
each other even at a maximum distance.
Rotating the components horizontally by up to 90° to the left and
right (a total of 180°) provides exibility during installation.
