WARNING: To prevent electrocu�on, make sure power is off and cannot
be turned back on while installing receptacle.
-A qualified electrician must install receptacles.
-Failure to comply with the following instruc�ons could cause an electrical
failure or fire.
1. Make sure the receptacle has the proper electrical ra�ng for the system
on which it is being installed.
2. Wire size and type must comply with appropriate local electrical codes.
The receptacle is designed for #14 through #8 AWG
3. Strip the wire insula�on 9/16’’ per the strip gauge on the back of the
receptacle.
4. Use copper wire only and make sure the wire is clean and a bright
copper color.
5. Do not sauder the ends of the wire.
6. Fully insert each wire under the clamp of the appropriate wire
terminal. Make certain there is wire insula�on uner any terminal
clamp and �ghten the terminal screw to 20 inch-pounds torque.
**Elbow Style: Please strip according to angle used.
