Condition Message Description
Power On “The system has started.”
“To install your system, please use
Category 5 TP cable.”
“The maximum distance from a PC to a
hub is 100 meters.”
“If you encounter any problem, please
refer to the product manual.”
On start-up, these four messages are
repeated only once.
Port Link
Connection
“The link is ready on port number X
(1,2,...8).”
Confirms the port number when a valid
link has been established. The message
is repeated only once.
Port Link
Disconnection
“The link is disconnected on port number
X (1,2,...8).”
Confirms the port number when a valid
link has become disconnected. The
message is repeated only once.
Busy Network “The network is busy.” When Collision LED indicators show 5%
or more, and when Utilization LED
indicators show 65%, this message will
be issued continuously.
Partitioned Port “Port number X (1,2,...8) is partitioned,
please check the link.”
This message identifies the partitioned
port number and is repeated three times.
Recovered Port “Port number X (1,2,...8) has recovered,
the link is ready.”
When a partitioned port has recovered
this message identifies the port number.
The message is repeated only once.
Fan Failure “The fan has failed, please contact your
local dealer for assistance.”
If fan failure is detected, this message will
be repeated continuously every three
seconds.

A fan failure could cause the power supply, or other components in the hub, to over-
heat and fail if the unit is not turned off. If the Fan Failure message is issued, the hub
should be immediately powered off and you should contact your Accton distributor.
