IMPORTANT SAFE GUARDS
Before the appliance is used, i t must be properly positi oned and installed as
described in this manual, s o read the manual careful ly. To reduce t he risk of fire,
electrical shock or injury when using the appliance, fol l ow basic precautions,
including the following:
Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet, do not remove groun di ng prong, do not use an adapter, and
do not use an extension cord.
It is recommended that a separate circuit, serving only your appliance, be provided. Use
receptacles that cannot be turned of f by a switch or pull chain.
Never clean freezer parts with flammable fluids. T hese fumes can create a fire haz ard or
explosion.
Do not store or use gasol i ne or other flammable va pors and liquids inside or in the vicinity of this
or any other appliance. T he fumes can create a fi re hazard or explosion.
Do not use inflamm able sprays in the vic inity of the appliance.
Before proceeding wi th cleaning and maintenance operations, make sure the power line of the
unit is disconnected.
Do not connect or disconnect the el ectric plug when your hands are wet.
Unplug the appliance or disconnect power before cleaning or servicing. Failure to do so can
result in electri cal shock or death.
Do not attempt t o repair or replace any part of your appliance unless it is specifically
recommended in t hi s manual. All other servicing should be referr ed to a qualified tec hni cian.
DANGER! Risk of child entrapment!
Child entrapm ent and suffocat ion are not problems of the past. Junked or ab andoned
appliances are still dangerous, even i f they will "just sit in the garage a few days ."
Before you throw away your old refriger ato r o r fr eezer: Take off the doors. Leave the
shelves in place so that children may not easily cl imb i nside.
Never allow chi ldren to operate, play wi th, or crawl inside the appliance.
