24VDC Operation
The General Purpose and the Panel Mounted LCD Digital Readouts will
operate on batteries or 24VDC. The General Purpose Readout uses a multi-
purpose plug-in connector for power as well as input and output signals. The
Panel Mount Readout uses screw terminals for these connections.
(Connections can be configured as outputs or inputs, but not both at the same
time). See Section 3: Circuit Board Jumpers

Notes:
When powering Readouts with 24VDC the Scale and the Readout’s ground
must be connected to each other, or connected to each other via a machine’s
metal frame. A proper connection will eliminate ground loops that may cause
unstable readings on the Readout. In 24VDC systems, proper ground
connections will be improved by using only Readouts, Scales, &
Encoders whose part #’s end in ‘G’.
24VDC Digital Readouts are designed to run on DC voltage ONLY.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPERATE THESE READOUTS with AC VOLTAGE!
