This chapter gives an overview of the ACUTA 4/4S and explains
how to:
Ö Remove the drive carriers from the controller box
Ö Load hard drives into the drive carriers
Ö Install the drive carriers in ACUTA 4/4S
Familiarizing yourself with ACUTA 4/4S
ACUTA 4/4S is available in two hardware configurations with the following
host interfaces:
Ö IEEE 1394A/B and USB 2.0
Ö Serial ATA
This manual contains the information necessary to set up each of the two
available hardware configurations. Where procedures for the configurations
differ, they are described separately and clearly marked.
Overview
The Controller Box has four drive carriers,
accessed from the front.
The connectors and power switch are
located on the rear panel and are accessed
from between the rear fins.
