The upper disk status indicator and low disk activity indicator on each drive carrier indicate the
following:
Disk Status
Indicator
Disk Activity
Indicator
Controller Status
Alternating green
& amber
Flashing blue RAID being initialized
Alternating green
& amber
Flashing blue RAID being rebuilt
Solid green Unlit RAID initialization complete
Solid green Unlit RAID established / no activity
Solid green Flashing blue Data being accessed
Solid red Unlit Disk failure / disk not properly
installed
Solid amber Unlit Hot spare disk in R5+spare
mode
If a red disk status indicator shows, check to make sure the appropriate drive is:
z Locked
z Installed correctly
z Not faulty (if necessary, the drive should be replaced).
The alarm will sound in case of RAID failure. Press the Enter / Mute
button to the right of the display to silence the alarm.
Initialization of an array may take up to 15 minutes depending on the capacity of disks and the
RAID level selected.
The status of the controller and array is given by the LCD display. Press the scroll button to the
left of the display to scroll through information about the array. The following information is
available:
Ö RAID level and Capacity
Ö Disk model
Ö Disk DMA mode and capacity
Ö Firmware Version
Ö Serial Number
Ö Fan Status and Temperature Status
