2.8.2.2.5 iSNS
iSNS (internet storage name service) facilitates the automated
discovery,iSCSI initiators and iSCSI targets on a iSCSI network. Registering
an iSNS server, iSCSI target will be easily and automatically recovery by
registered iSCSI initiator in the same LAN.
Click iSNS icon to open the configurations window and click Back if you
want return to the page of iSCSI ports.
Add an iSNS server
1. Click Add to open the configurations window, specify the following
CHAP User Name Specifies the CHAP User name. The
maximum length of the name is 16.
CHAP Secret Specifies the CHAP Secret. The length of
CHAP Secret must between 12 and 16
characters.
CHAP Member Select the IST target to Bind IST windows as
CHAP member.
Note
Up to 8 CHAP users.
CHAP Secret (password) must be 12 characters at least.
Server Address Specifies the IP address of iSNS.
Port Specifies the port number. Default is 3205.
