INSTRUCTION ACCUTIRE MS 49 Tire & Tread depth gauge
Measuring Tire pressure
1. Press the "ON" button to activate. lf last measurement was tread depth press ON button to change to Tire pressure mode.
2. To change measuring units press and hold ON button for 2 seconds until an Icon blinks, press the "ON" button sequentially until
the required icon blinks then release button to capture. Units are set when icon stops blinking.
3. Align the nozzle of the Tire gauge with the valve stein on your Tire.
4. Apply sufficient force to engage the nozzle with stem, while maintaining a proper pressure seal. As you engage the Tire gauge to
the valve stein a sudden surge of air will create a crisp Sound.
5. Carefully listen for any leaks, and press firmly on the valve stein to obtain a good seal
6. Hold the Tire gauge on the valve stein until a reading appears on the display and locks. The gauge will shut off automatically.
NOTE.
Gauge also can be activated for tire pressure measurement only, by directly pressing gauge nozzle on the Tire pressure
valve. After gauge is activated follow points 4-6 above.
Tread depth specification:
a) Depth <2/32 inch or 1,6 mm, the colour bar is red
b) 1,6 mm or 2/32 inch< Depth <4/32 inch or 3,2 mm, the colour bar is yellow
c) Depth>4/32 inch or 3.2 mm the colour bar is green
Tread Depth Measurement
1. Press the ON button to activate
2. lf the last measurement was Tire pressure press the ON button to change to tread depth mode.
3. To change units press and hold the ON button for 2 seconds until an Icon blinks. Press the ON button again sequentially until the
required icon blinks then release button to capture. Units are set when Icon stops blinking.
4. Hold the gauge against the tread to be measured, and push the slider into the grooved section of the Tire while resting the base
section of the gauge housing on the top of the Tire tread until it meets resistance, and then the tread depth reading is displayed.
5. Remove the gauge from the Tire; the gauge LCD display reading will decrease lf the user pushes the slider indicator up towards
the top.
6. lf no additional reading Is made, the unit will automatically turn oft after a 10 second time out period.
Replacing the battery:
To replace the battery open the battery cover on back of unit and remove the old battery, insert two new CR 2032 batteries, ensuring
correct polarity. Replace the battery cover. Use only fresh batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries.
Advice
Always follow the Tire manufacturers' pressure ratings which are based on "cool" Tire temperatures. Use a soft damp cloth to clean
your gauge. Do not use any liquids or cleaners. Use a Tire gauge every four weeks and top up with a Tire inflator to reduce fuel
consumption, increase Tire life and reduce CO2 emissions.
It is advisable to check the zero set of the gauge from time to time to check the zero set of the gauge.
1. Briefly press the gauge onto the valve stein (lf is not necessary for a good seal to be made as only a Small amount of air must
enter the gauge to zero Set the unit).
2. When the display shows "0.0" promptly remove the gauge from the valve stein. The gauge has now been recalibrated and is
ready for use.
Troubleshooting
lf the display is blank: Make sure that the pressure seal between the Tire gauge and the valve stein is free from leaks
Check to make sure that there are no leaks in the system. Re-zero the unit by taking a reading and allowing the unit to automatically
shut off. Then check the air pressure In the Tire
lf the display reads "Lo": The battery is depleted and must be replaced.

Information on Waste Disposal for Consumers of Electrical & Electronic Equipment.
This mark on a product and/or accompanying documents indicates that when it is to be disposed of, it must be treated as Waste
Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Any WEEE marked waste products must not be mixed with general household waste, but
kept separate for the treatment, recovery and recycling of the materials used. For proper treatment, recovery and recycling, please
take all WEEE marked waste to your Local Authority Civic waste site, where it will be accepted free of Charge lf alt consumers
dispose of Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment correctly, they will be helping to save valuable resources and preventing any
potential negative effects upon human health and the environment, of any hazardous materials that the waste may contain
Please Recycle Your Spent Batteries
Batteries should not be disposed of In unsorted municipal waste, but separately collected to facilitate the correct treatment and
recycling of the substances they contain. The recycling of batteries ensures the recovery of these valuable materials and prevents
any potentially harmful effects upon both the environment and human health. Please contribute to battery recycling by segregating all
spent batteries and actively participating In their collection and recycling. Various battery collection schemes will be in operation In
different areas of the country. However, battery collection bins will be available at retail stores that sell batteries as well as at schools,
libraries and other public buildings.
