Entering passwords
Whe n a pass word is set, a pas s word prompt appe ar s in the ce nter of the
display screen.
• Whe n the Supervis or Password is set, a p r omp t app ears when yo u p r e ss
< F2 > to en t e r th e BIOS utility at boo t-up .
• Ty pe the Su perv iso r Password an d p r ess < En t e r > to access the BIOS ut i lit y.
If yo u en ter t h e pa ss wo r d inc o rrectly, a warnin g m e ss ag e app ears. Try
again and press < En ter >.
• Whe n the U s er Pass w o r d is set and th e pass w o rd on boot parameter is
enab led, a prom pt ap pears at bo ot-u p.
• Type the User Pass w o r d an d p r e ss < En ter > to u s e the co mp uter. If you
enter the password incor r ec t l y, a warn ing message appe ar s. T r y ag ain an d
press < En ter >.
Important! Y ou hav e three chances to enter a password. If you fail
to ent e r the passwor d correctly afte r three tries, the syst em ha lt s.
Press and hold the powe r button f o r four seconds t o shut down
the co mp uter. Th en turn on t h e co mpu t er again , and try ag ain.
