Setting up your fingerprint account
You can use the fingerprint reader to unlock your Chromebook. You’ll
have the option to register your fingerprint when you first set up your
Chromebook. If you skip that step, set up your fingerprint anytime
through your device settings. To set up your fingerprint, do the
following:
1. Select the Status area of the shelf in the lower-right corner of the
screen.
2. Select Settings icon.
3. In the People section, select Screen lock and sign-in.
4. Enter your Password and select Confirm.
5. Next to Edit Fingerprints, select Set up then click Add Fingerprint.
Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your fingerprint account.
6. Click Done to complete the fingerprint configuration. You may select
Add Fingerprint to add another fingerprint account and create up to
three fingerprints per signed-in user.
Note
Locate the fingerprint sensor on your device, and then place the finger you
would like to register. Press and hold your finger on the fingerprint sensor and
then lift. Repeat this step until the fingerprint configuration is complete.
