NOTE 1. Not every OS can support disk space up to 2 TB.
NOTE 2. When RAID volume is created, it can be initialized on the background. RAID volume can be
immediately available without completing the fully initialization.
NOTE 3. Drive coercion refers to the ability of the RAID controller to recognize the size of the physical drives
that are connected and then force the larger drives to use only the amount of space available on the smallest
drive. Drive coercion as implemented in these RAID controllers also allows an option to map out a reserved
space to compensate for slightly smaller drive sizes that may be added later. This option allows 128 MB, and 1
GB of drive capacity to remain unused.
The coercion algorithm options are:

Note
None The software does not coerce the drive capacity. Default
128MB-way
The software rounds the drive capacity down to
the next 128MB boundary. Then, the software
rounds the drive capacity to the nearest 10MB
boundary. If the resulting capacity is larger than
the real drive size, the coerced capacity is rounded
down to the next 10MB boundary.
