Removing a power supply
Caution: Power suppy hot-swap operations should be performed
only if a failure occurs in the power supply.
1 Observe the ESD precautions described on page 33.
2 Remove the DC power cord from the power supply.
3 Loosen the thumbscrew on the latch to unlock the power supply
handle (A).
4 Open the handle on the power supply (B).
5 Pull the power supply from the chassis and set it on a clean, static-
free surface (C).
6 Install a filler panel.
Installing a power supply
Caution! To ensure proper system cooling, the replacement of
failed power supply shoule be completed within two minutes.
1 Observe the ESD precautions described on page 33.
2 Remove the filler panel from the empty power supply bay, if
installed.
3 With the handle in the open position, push the power supply in
the bay fully (A).
