Setting the Scene Mode
By simply selecting one of the following 12 modes, you can capture the
image with most appropriate settings.
1. Slide the mode switch to [
].
a. Press the MENU button.
b. Select [Scene Mode] with the S/T buttons, and press the SET button.
c. Select the desired scene mode with the S/T buttons, and press
the SET button.
2. Compose the image, press the shutter button down halfway, and then
press it down fully.
The table below will help you choose the appropriate scene mode:

] Auto Camera automatically determines settings needed
for the best picture.
[ ] Panorama To create 360° panoramic images.

] Portrait To photograph a person and blur out the
background.

]Landscape To photograph mountains, forests or other
landscape scenery rich in color.
[ ] Sports To photograph fast-moving objects.
[ ] Night To photograph scenes at night.
[ ] Candlelight Softer focus and daylight white balance (tripod use
suggested).
[ ] Macro For close-up photography.
[
] Sunset Small aperture setting and daylight white-balance,
ideal for use where shades of red are prominent.

Sunrise
High color saturation and deeper red shades.
[ ] Splash Water Fast shutter speed.
[
] Fireworks Small aperture setting and slow shutter speed (tripod
use suggested).
